The purpose of this study was to explore the factors that drive visitor loyalty to the host destination. Our analysis focused on the effects of self-congruity and functional-congruity of the relationship among festival satisfaction and festival dependence as roles of mediator, festival attachment and cognitive loyalty to the host destination. To achieve the purpose, 94 questionnaires were collected from visitors in ¡®Nice Carnival¡¯. Based on the literature, a conceptual model was developed and was tested using structural equation modeling. We found that festival satisfaction and dependence had significant effects as mediating factor of the relationship. There was no significant effects between self-congruity and festival satisfaction and festival attachment and cognitive loyalty to the host destination. Based on these findings, both theoretical and practical implications of this investigation are discussed. |
