The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of the MICE supporters¡¯ job
competence awareness on their job stress and career decision-making self-efficacy.
In testing the hypotheses propositioned by this study, the job competence revealed a
significant effect only on the ambiguity among the 3 factors of the job stress.
Meanwhile, job competence and the career decision-making self-efficacy were
statistically significantly related to job stress¡¯s factors. However, on the difference in
awareness on the career decision-making self-efficacy by the demographic
characteristics, a significant difference was shown only on gender and grade, and
among them, a significant difference was shown only on the self-selectivity factor.
This result revealed that the difference in awareness by participation experience and
frequency had no significant difference. Through the results shown above, it is
analyzed that the MICE supporters feel job stress on performing the job differently
from one¡¯s intention due to unclear instructions or guidelines. This study has a
significant value in terms of investigating the MICE supporters who has been
relatively overlooked or neglected in the MICE industry that is mainly people¡¯s
industry. |
