초록

This study aims to investigate tourism preparedness of incentive tourists in response to their growing importance, and to seek for a way to improve tourism preparedness for both attracting tourists and increasing their satisfaction. To this end, the current study performed a cross-sectional survey from January to December 2012 with the cooperation of Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and tourism agencies specialized in an incentive tour. Participants were asked to complete a set of self-administered questionnaires concerned with tourism preparedness of incentive tour around Seoul metropolitan area. 1,655 samples were selected from the data set for an analysis.  Revised IPA suggested by Deng (2007), utilizing relative importance to deal with any weaknesses of traditional IPA, was employed to draw results of the study. The research contributes to addressing an implication drawing on attributes on IP Matrix. The implication was ascribed to empirical results that 'Food and Beverage', 'Entry and Departure Formalities' and 'Language' located on the fourth quadrant and indicated that these attributes should be improved immediately. To supplement and improve three attributes, some solutions were suggested as the improvement plans.
